The torch infection is mainly caused by two ways; across the placenta and during the childbirth. Across the placenta: Fetus (baby) inside your womb is prone to infections, as baby doesn’t have its own immunity and is completely dependent on mother’s immunity. In this condition the chances of spontaneous abortion increases as the pathogens easily crosses the placental boundary. During the child birth: When the baby passes through the birth canal, the chances of getting TORCH Infection are maximum. How is Laparoscopy?
Laparoscopy is a process of performing a miniature surgery and inspecting the internal human body with the help of very thin tube through incision into the belly to examine the abdominal organs. How is it performed? A patient is made to lie at 10˚-20˚ head down so that intestine is displaced cranially. The veress needle is inserted into the belly at the periumbilical site which is located at the least distance from the anterior peritoneum. Once satisfied amount of carbon dioxide gas is being passed into the body, needle is removed and trocar is inserted. Right placement of tracer could be confirmed with the release of gas when trocar is removed from the sleeve. Lastly, laparoscope is inserted which provides the inner view. Before the laparoscopic procedure, patient is asked to stop having fluids and vacate their urinary bladder for the better results. General or spinal anesthesia is injected to lower the pain.
